I am glad to announce that Storadera S3 is now available in Germany.
To serve the incoming demand at timely fashion, Storadera now partners with Hetzner to provide physical servers for Storadera S3 eu-central-1 region in Germany.
Hetzner is not a new partner to Storadera – one month ago we launched Finland location with them. We use Hetzner dedicated servers and Storadera’s proprietary S3 storage software provides reliability, security and speed improvements. Data is always encrypted at rest and physical hardware provider never has access to our encryption keys.
Existing data is moved to new servers over next couple of months. We use online migration without any interruption of service. There is a small latency increase if not migrated data is read, estimated at 11ms (milliseconds). Data is encrypted in transit with NASA approved and quantum resistent AES-256 at all times.
Hetzner Online is an European heavyweight independent data center operator. For Germany, we are using their Falkenstein ISO 27001 certified data centers. As a bonus, all Hetzner data centers run 100% on renewable energy.
